In loving memory – Nhi Nho

Recently we had to say goodbye to Nhi Nho, who was the first bile bear rescued by FOUR PAWS. Her emotional story set our bile bear mobilisation into motion and made many more bear rescues all over Vietnam possible. We are forever grateful for her unbelievable will to live and the precious time we had with her.

Mo and Xuan in quarantine

The two former bile bears were rescued from a keeping under a clothing shop in the Son La province, are settling in well in their forever home at BEAR SANCTUARY Ninh Binh. Currently they are in the quarantine area, while they are gradually being introduced to their new diet. They are provided an array of different enrichment, bedding etc. and their trust begins to be built between them and their caretakers. They are fed three times per day, have continuous fresh water, several times per day enrichment, showers and a lot of care.

The bear cub dream team: Nikko, Nara and Mochi

Cub dream team: Do you remember the two bear cubs Nara and Nikko which recently were confiscated from illegal wildlife trade by the Vietnamese authorities and rescued by us? We are very happy to let you know that both finished their quarantine period and have slowly moved in with Mochi at our Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh. We can’t say they are best friends yet but we’re happy that each day there are small improvements. We’re sure that soon Mochi will realise how much fun it is to have other bear cubs to play with.
